This satisfying and hearty tour also features a BBQ lunch made with locally grown vegetables and premium branded pork, allowing you to enjoy the flavors of the region to the fullest.
A highlight of the tour is a rare Magariya farmhouse, built in 1862 during the Edo period. This traditional house style—found in cold regions of northeastern Japan and parts of Ibaraki—prefecture living quarters, a stable, and storage under one roof. You will step inside to see the traditional kamado cooking stove, irori hearth, and original farming tools up close.
At the Naka City Museum of History and Folklore, you can view cultural artifacts from ancient, medieval, early modern, and modern periods, including festival floats used in the Daisuke Festival.
The BBQ lunch will be enjoyed inside a botanical garden home to approximately 600 plant species and 50,000 plants that showcase seasonal beauty throughout the year.
This tour is designed to let you experience the history, culture, and nature of Naka City with all five senses.
